Body energies, yoga/chakra exercises, Benthe PlougTo keep you in situations you most want to run away from, but you know you are fleeing, you can make this exercise:Maintaining exerciseStand on the floor - or best - stand out in the open air. Spread the legs and shake them vigorously for 1-3 minutes. Stand still and then imagine that out of your feet are deep, strong roots like from a large, beautiful, old tree. Make the roots strong, tough and strong. Create a clear mental picture of this and use this image next time you encounter a situation where you "get cold feet" and you want to flee. A participant in one of my courses has described his experience with this exercise as follows: "After having shown the first drawing of my tree in the group, I could suddenly see that this 'womantree' described how I usually feel and think about myself. The body of the tree showed a woman without feet, hands or face. top of the tree was painted in dark colors and it felt heavy, like having a burden I could not bear. The roots of the tree had no connection to the rest of the tree. I could not use this tree. I drew a new tree, and knew now that it should be painted in bright colors. I began to draw the body of the tree and then the crown, which this time got bigger and stronger branches with bright colors and pink flower buds. It seemed lighter and the roots got good connection to the feet. All by itself this tree got a face - and I can use it. This is how I want to look like and be." Imbalance in the first chakra may also manifest itself as concerns about everything. About the future, about the economy, the society's development, about the growing number of crimes, the situation in developing countries - about EVERYTHING. And this concern does not imply an active, committed participation in one's fellow man or society in general. It is a concern that is rooted in anxiety, which in turn is rooted in lack of contact with reality. A concern about nuclear power which results in a positive and committed political or human position is balance, you feel responsible and act from there. Depressive moods can be associated with imbalance in the first chakra and is often due to a lack of harmony between what we need and how we actually live our lives. This knowledge may be more or less conscious, but if it is not followed by the necessary changes, it will bring depression, melancholy or life fatigue. The next exercise can be used to find greater harmony between what we want and how we actually live our lives. This exercise can help to create greater meaning in our lives, the meaning that ceases when there is no harmony between the inner and outer reality, ie. when our desires and ideals are too different from our actual life situation. |
